TECHNOLOGY
A
major shortcoming of the existing compression techniques is
that the compressed data need to be restored (decompressed)
to the original form before the content can be searched for
a specific word or phrase. For vast amount of textual data,
fast retrieval of correct information is as important as or
more important than the compact delivery and storage of content.
Our
technology is based on our imposition that textual data
need not only to be stored densely but also searched for instantaneously.
Instead of using the patterns of 1's and 0's as the basis
of compression, we use the rules of the language to effect
the compression. The resulting (de)compression algorithm enables
lightning fast searches in compressed form and development
of exciting new applications.
