Q. How do I install the software (or additional books)?
A. For proper installation to PDAs, you need to have
either HotSync (for Palm) or ActiveSync (for PocketPC)
installed on your desktop PC. These programs are shipped with
your PDAs. For
PocketPC Devices:
1. If you want to use an external memory
card, make sure the card is inserted in
the PDA. Now connect the device to your
PC and make sure "Connected" is
shown on ActiveSync window. 2. From CD:
Insert the CD
and the setup screen should open. If the setup does not run automatically,
use the Start/Run option to locate and run the setup.exe
file on the CD. Select "Install English," accept
the license agreement (if you agree), choose
PocketPC, and click "Next." The
software will be installed first on the
PC. Next you will be asked to select the
books to transfer to your PDA/memory card;
if you have a memory card, the default destination
for books is the memory card. Whether
you are installing the books to the PDA
or the memory card, you need to make sure
there is enough memory space to accommodate
the files. When all the files are transferred,
you are done.
From Internet: Choose the item that you want to download, and
a "File
Download" window will pop up on your desktop
computer. If you have a fast Internet connection, click the "Open" option to download
the setup file and execute it. If you have a slow
Internet connection, you should save the
Setup.exe file to a location that you can
later find, and then run the Setup.exe
after the file has been downloaded. At this
point, follow the instructions given under
the section titled "From CD."
For
Palm OS Devices:
1. On Palm devices, we do not support
the external memory card. You need
to make sure that your PDA has enough memory
to accommodate all the files that you want
to install. 2. From CD:
Insert the CD
and the setup screen should open. If the setup does not run automatically,
use the Start/Run option to locate and run the setup.exe
file on the CD. Select "Install English," accept
the license agreement (if you agree), choose
Palm, and click "Next." The software
will be installed first on the PC. Next
you will be asked to select the books to
transfer to your PDA. You need to
make sure there is enough memory space on
your Palm to accommodate the files. Once
the steps are done on PC, HotSync to transfer
files to the Palm device.

Q. How do I upgrade BibleLink 1.x to BibleLink 2.x?
A. We have added color icon support to BibleLink
2.0 along with many new and improved features.
You will need your original unlock keys
that you received when you purchased the
software. If you have purchased BibleLink
1.x after August 1, 2004, there will not
be any upgrade fee. Otherwise, there is
a $6.95 upgrade fee. Click HERE
to get the upgrade. (top)
Q. What is the difference between installing to the desktop
PC and installing to the Palm device?
A. The desktop PCs have much more storage
than PDAs. Therefore we install all the books included in
the setup.exe to the desktop while you will
install a subset of them to the PDA.
During the installation,
you will be asked what specific books are to be installed
on the PDA itself. The available memory in your PDA should
be greater than the sum total of books and applications that
you choose to install. (top)

Q. BibleLink is frozen!
A. PocketPC Devices: The
PocketPC devices all have different way of performing a soft
reset. Please consult your device's manual. Again
make sure that you are performing a soft reset and not a hard
reset.
Palm Devices: A soft reset should
take care of the problem. A soft reset is similar to a
reboot on a desktop computer. All the Palm devices have
small pin hole on the back of the device that is labeled
"Reset." Press it with a sharp point and the
unit should reset itself. Make sure you do not perform a
hard reset in which case you will loose all your data. A
hard reset is performed in a similar manner with the power

Q.
My
Unlock Key does not work. I
get "Failed" or "Wrong Key"
message.
A. Version
1.x:
Please make sure that you have entered the correct
keys. If the keys don't work, it may have timed
out or it may be that you entered unlock key that doesn't
match your device ID. Version
2.x:
From version 2.0, your unlock keys do not
time out. However, they are tied to
a unique Device ID. If you have changed
your PDA, then you need to get a new unlock
key.(top)
Q.
I entered the Unlock Key, but it keeps on
asking me for Unlock Key. A.
This sometimes happens depending on the
type of the device. Try this: 1.
First, go to Start -> Programs ->
File Explorer. Open "My Device/Windows"
folder and delete "regstry.pdb"
file or folder, and "regstry.pdb"
in "My Devive/Storage Card" folder.
Next, start BibleLink and enter the
Unlock key again. 2. If the problem
isn't solved after trying this, delete BibleLink,
then reinstall the program. (top)
Q.
There are some books locked even after I
entered the Unlock Key. A.
Version
1.x:
Public Domain books that you have already
downloaded shouldn't be locked.
Try using same method as in "While
using the program after entering the Unlock
key, it keeps on asking me for Unlock key."
However,
if the is a copyrighted book, and you didn't
purchase the unlock key for the book,
then they are supposed to be locked until
you purchase an unlock key for the item. Version
2.x:
We have lowered the reader pricing and created
three classes of public domain books. One
class is FREE and they will not be locked
at any time. The other two classes are the
Dictionaries and Commentaries. If you did
not purchase a Suite product, then you need
to unlock the classes separately. Purchase
unlock keys from HERE.(top)

in the PDA as it is installed since its
size is only about 300kB. The books can
be stored on the storage card. For version
